Marissa has a continuously evolving approach and fascinating love for the filmmaking process. She enjoys writing, researching, and planning out every detail in her short films. Her work focuses on the horror/suspense genre as fear, grief, heartbreak, and darkness all have become the catalyst of inspiration in her films. She has a BA in Electronic Media Management from Cal State Northridge. She spends her time watching, admiring, writing about, and analyzing international, classic, and contemporary films as well as keeping her basil plant alive.
She's personally touched by stories with heart and soul, framed in black and white, character driven, thought provokingly unconventional, visually, stunning, poetically captivating, jaw-dropping, viscerally awesome with some existential flair.
